A view of the Mojave Power Station, a coal-fired power plant, a longtime landmark of the Laughlin (Nevada) & Bullhead City (Arizona) area. This photo was taken in 2010 with a Sony α100. However, it is no longer there; on March 11, 2011, almost 30 years to the day it was constructed, the 500-foot (150m) exhaust stack was demolished by explosives.

This is a view from the central fountain park of Park La Brea, (La Brea meaning the tar, after the nearby La Brea Tar Pits), of one of the Landmark Towers. PLB is a sprawling apartment complex in the Miracle Mile District of LA- in fact, its the largest housing development west of the Mississippi. However, what makes the views of Park La Brea so iconic is the Landmark Towers “X” design, which gives each apartment a great view outwards. Add to that the geometry of the layout and you have a landmark worthy of the City of Angels
