A shot of the Tahquamenon Falls in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, complete with accompanying rainbow.
The Tahquamenon Falls, on the Tahquamenon River, fall more than 60 meters across and with a drop of approximately 14 meters. They are located near Lake Superior in the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The water is notably brown in color from the tannins leached from the cedar swamps which the river drains.
Rainbow Cloud over Los Angeles
I saw this cloud in the sky and rushed to get my camera… I have never seen something like this before. Rainbows and “hose prisms” come from the way water bends and blooms sunlight- but I’d never seen it in a visible cloud before.
