Mizu Mizu Mizu!
A reposting of the first Mizu Mizu Mizu!, with the updated copyrighting style. So, to recap…
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite pictures. As most pet owners know, our little critters make great subject and also pictures thereof can make us exceptionally happy.
I took this one in June, 2008, and am always pleased when it gets compliments. I’ve even had a few people order a picture of my cat for themselves, (double bursting with pride when that happens). It was taken outside with the standard digital set-up of a Sony α100, using natural light.
Chastity Bites- The Clique
This Saturday, at the Dances with Film Festival at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Chastity Bites, a classic-style slasher film premiered; this group shot on the Red Carpet consists of the Clique Girls, (Amy Okuda ( @AmyOkuda ), Chloë Crampton ( @chloecharlotte ), Lindsey Morgan ( @linzzmorgan ) and Sarah Stouffer ( @realStouffer )) and the Director and Writer of the film, husband and wife team John V. Knowles ( @jvknowles ) and Lotti Pharriss Knowles ( @LottiLuWho )!
FYI, its a great, fun romp with a grande cast! Check it out when you’re able to- details would best be found at the official website and/or their twitter feed @ChastityBites .
* Granted, it was the “Green Carpet”- but non-Hollywood types wouldn’t know the difference, neh?
Luna with Jupiter Ascendant
A few weeks ago, in December and January, Jupiter was very visible in the night sky (at least in the northern hemisphere; not sure about south of the Equator). A few nights, it was even in close proximity to the Moon… This photograph was taken during that near conjunction, with a 300mm lens- but no telescope or the like.
Middle Eastern Astrolabe
A medieval astrolabe, of Middle Eastern origin, that was on display at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Man, looks nice and steampunk, doesn’t it?
Xmas Tree and Fountain at The Grove
As this Black Friday draws down, a quick peak of one of my favorite places to go, The Grove in Los Angeles. A quick glimpse of the massive Christmas Tree in the rear, with the Water Fountain in the foreground- and if you look close, not only will you see Santa above, but the Hobbit below…
Singular Bird of Paradise
A singular flower, in both senses…
Felicia Day & Greg Aronowitz
A quick snapshot of the lovely Felicia Day and the insatiably talented Greg Aronowitz after the Hammer Improv Show at the Hayworth Theater on Wilshire in Los Angeles. As always, was a fun show, and Greg brought an extra treat- many of The Guild props (as well as work on his other projects) with him for the troupe to incorporate into the act. (Not surprisingly, they did to great effect.)
After the show, thought it would be nice to get a picture of Felicia, (but, I did already have one with her); a shot of her by herself was a little odd, so a quick call over, and above kicks off. As the kids say, “whoot”
